Land of the Free?

The story of the college student being compromised and tased during a public forum with John Kerry has been big in the news lately. I found the videos of the incident and posted them below, watch them before you read this.

The charges against Mayer were for inciting a riot.
Legal definition of inciting a riot:
“INCITE A RIOT – Urging or instigating other persons to riot, but shall not be deemed to mean the mere oral or written (1) advocacy of ideas or (2) expression of belief, not involving advocacy of any act or acts of violence or assertion of the rightness of, or the right to commit, any such act or acts.

Where does it end America? When will we realize our rights and enforce them? There are people in forums online who claim that the police should be forgiven, that they do far more good for us than their salaries should motivate them to do. Do not fool yourself by mixing up two separate situations where our government has failed us. If the police are poorly paid then they should take it up with the government, and if that is how you justify this then open your eyes and realize it all funnels back to the government. And the government was literally present for this, it stood idly by and watched it happen. Senator John Kerry actually cracked a joke as Andrew was being put down in the back of the room if you listen to the tape. Is that what our government does? It watches its arms deceive it and tells everyone around a joke to lighten the mood? That is not my government.

There is no place in our country for this type of behavior. Imagine trying to prove a point to your parents and having them silently put tape over your mouth and kick you out. Would you not be enraged? I’m not saying that Andrew Meyer’s question was logical. The police denied both of us that right. If you’re not enraged by the way he was dealt with that’s fine, I’ve seen more horrible things happen on my street that the police couldn’t even smell. But how can you not understand that in not letting him speak, they were not letting you listen? Because of them you will never know what he was going to ask. You and Andrew Meyer might not have the same ideas, but without freedom of speech neither of you have any ideas.
